This assignment discusses the benefits and drawbacks when composing collaboratively, which are dependent on how cooperative the group is and how effectively they perform.

There are various advantages to writing jointly with other people because it contributes to bettering an assignment of writing. Collaborative writing allows people to contribute their own knowledge, which could render a piece of writing more informative and accurate because more research is done. Individuals can cover for others in collaborative writing because they may be better suited to a task that others may struggle with. Individuals who write jointly can also collaborate and think of ways to make a piece of writing appealing to the audience.

Writing jointly can also improve with communication skills because persons who participate in groups have to work together with one another to achieve a task successfully. This could include knowing one other’s strengths, sharing responsibilities, and sharing areas that may cause them problems. Collaborating with others who are new to a task can assist teach them how the task is carried out in addition to how the group works.

There are various disadvantages to writing jointly with other people that can cause problems in a piece of writing. Individuals may have difficulty communicating with one another when writing jointly owing to various challenges, which can slow down the process of completing a piece of writing. Collaborative writing can sometimes lead to groupthink, in which individuals are afraid to communicate their thoughts in order not to stand out from the crowd. Various writing styles can be seen in collaborative writing if individuals divide the workload, which may influence how fluid the piece of writing is. It is difficult to split the workload equally because some persons may wind up performing more work than others. When writing jointly, some people may lose enthusiasm to work if they are unwilling to get attached to the other people. Furthermore, if people constantly disagree with one other, it can lead to relationship problems and, in the long run, destroy a piece of work.
